Not only do we use fashion to feel and look our best, but subconsciously, we also use it to hide. While you probably do not think of sweats when you think of fashion. However, they are honestly one of the most deliberate choices we make. We all have those days when we don't feel like ourselves, so we put on something like a sweatsuit or all black, something that communicates, "I don't care." I know when I feel off, I wear the same black sweatpants. For some reason, dressing more understated makes me feel more comfortable about not feeling like my most confident self. Even the most glamorous celebrities and it-girls with the most amazing wardrobes, like Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, have those days where they just want to wear their pajamas out. I interpret this as us humans using fashion as a reflection of our most real and raw selves, because style is not always about aesthetics.
